- Templates for undelivered products are done in DEV, Templates for live products are done in Client Production Copy. See Brokerage Systems for systems.
- Once you logged in, go to STATIC DATA menu, and select ‘Import template’ option.
If you cannot see that option, go STATIC DATA -> System options ->Import template (near the bottom of the list)
3. Click on “New” on the right-side options
4. Type the name of the template “Scratchpad …….” (Ex, Scratchpad FX C1 BGC) and click OK
5. Select from the list CM Lite+Brokerage
6. Browse the invoice from which you are going to create the template
7. From the options on the top left screen select and drag the field name that matches the field on the invoice shown on the bottom screen. The information from the field mapped must be appearing on the top right screen.
8. Repeat the step 7 for the rest of the fields to be mapped.
9. After mapping the dates’ fields, right click on the ‘import field’ re each date field and select format as date
10. To set the date format, Click on the Format button and enter the format as it appears in the xlsx excluding any separators. E.g 03/09/2019 -> DDMMYYYY, or MMDDYYYY (Depending on whether the broker is using American date or not).
11. For the Claim Amount, Bill Cash and Invoice Total (And any other cash amounts) right click and select ‘Negate’
12. On the ‘Matching Strategy’ drop down list select the one that applies to the product and client (CLNT1 is HSBC )

14. Exclusions tab is used to set up rules/trees (ex. To exclude blank line between main heading and data table) (Manual with different rules/formulas to be finished)
Click on Exclusions
Double click on the first cell to get a “Y” on it, write the description on the second cell and on the third cell right click to get the option to “edit tree”, set result to “EXLCUDE” or “INCLUDE” to exclude on include respectively.
15. If Invoice total is at the end of the invoice after all the main information table, this has to be set as footer. After mapping the total right click on the field and select “Set as footer”
When the amount you want to populate is on the next cell to the field name you are mapping, use the option of the “Specify cell number to right of heading”
NOTE: If you are editing an already existing template please copy and paste the template before you start work giving it. Rename it to be "RTD<Current date><Your name>@<Template name>" So if we need to revert we easily can.
Note: Each product has pre-requisite fields that must be mapped in order to get all the information to process the matching.
This pre-requisite fields can be found on
- STATIC DATA > System Options > Setting Pkg Matching Strategies > MRT SNCLAIMS TRADES
- Find the Client and product type and click on edit
- Select one of the lines and right click Set Prerequisite columns
Note: DATAFEED must always be populated with CLNT1 for HSBC
Note: Broker must be populated with a specific broker code to allow matching. To find what code search for another template from the same broker for any product and use the same code.
Note: If invoices from the same broker have similar structure but differing column headers, these can be set up under one template, by creating a dummy invoice, with the header and one line from each similar invoice, and the footer & header from only one invoice. This can then be templated. Look at Scratchpad FX C1 BGC as example.
